A former production intern on Willie Revillame's TV show "Wowowee" has come out to reveal some of the big no-nos he encountered while working on the show.
In an interview on the podcast "Walang edit-edit," hosted by Leland Lim, the intern revealed that he was not allowed to make eye contact with or even talk to Willie during the show.
"Bawal mo siya tingnan. Production intern ako within the studio at that time. Wag mo siyang lalapitan, kapag magkakasalisi kayo, umiwas ka ng tingin talaga," the former intern said.
He also revealed that if they didn't follow protocol, their supervisor would immediately be fired.
The former intern also revealed he was the one tasked to give away the ever-famous "Kuya will jackets."
"Ako yung taga-abot nung jacket, dun sa nag-aabot ng jacket. Hindi siya maganda and makapal siya in the worst ways," he added.
Following the interview, some netizens also commented on their experience working on or being in the set of "Wowowee."
"yung college kami, pinadala buong section namin sa studio para maging audience ng show niya. grabe kapag commercial, shookt kami kasi pinagmumura niya mga staff kapag may nagkamali ????"
"Huy true to life to. Nag intern din ako sa Wowowin before. Kasama sa rules nila na bawal tignan si Willie. HAHAHAHAHA."
"Totoo to! Yung QA ko sa prev company nag intern sya sa tv5 and under ng show ni Willie dati. Palabas na sya cr pero dahil nasa hallway daw si Willie di sya lumabas kasi bawal may tao sa hallway habang naglalakad sya. HAHAHAH grabe na ang lvl nyan ni Willie."
Talk about Revillame being supposedly harsh towards staff, employees, even co-hosts, has been going on for some time.
A video of him reprimanding some of them on-air went viral prior.
