Police arrested a 32-year-old man tagged as a notorious drug personality after a search warrant service in Las Pinas City yielded P239,000 worth of suspected shabu on Wednesday, April 29.
Las Piñas City Police chief Col. Wilson Delos Santos said the suspect, identified only as Emmanuel, was nabbed at around 10:33 p.m. inside his residence on Durian Cassava Street in Golden Acres, Barangay Talon Uno.
Delos Santos said operatives of the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) implemented the search warrant against the suspect, who has been under monitoring as a drug personality in the area.
The search warrant was issued by Judge Pia Cristina B. Bersamin-Embuscado of the Las Piñas Regional Trial Court Branch 198.
Authorities recovered six heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing approximately 35.15 grams, with an estimated street value of P239,020.
The suspect is currently detained at the police custodial facility and is facing charges for violation of Section 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
