CAVITEX C5 Link fuels business, mobility in Parañaque - Mayor Olivarez

Parañaque City Mayor Edwin Olivarez expressed optimism about the completion of the 7.7-kilometer CAVITEX C5 Link, which now makes the city a gateway to major business hubs in Cavite and Taguig.
Olivarez underscored the significance of the opening of Segment 3B, noting that travel between Parañaque, Cavite, and Taguig can now be completed in just minutes—unlocking new opportunities for businesses, investors, and residents alike.
With Segment 3B completing the expressway’s alignment—linking the Manila-Cavite Expressway directly to C5 Road in Taguig—travel time has been dramatically reduced from the usual one-and-a-half hours to just 15 minutes.
The mayor emphasized that this improved mobility comes at a crucial time, offering much-needed relief amid rising fuel costs and daily commuting challenges.
Beyond convenience, the expressway is poised to serve as a powerful economic engine. It provides seamless access to the Ninoy Aquino International Airport and major thoroughfares through key interchanges such as Coastal Road, Sucat Road, and C5—benefiting more than 30,000 motorists daily.
Parañaque Traffic and Parking Management Office head Reynaldo Murillo said the CAVITEX C5 Link is already easing congestion and improving pathway to key destinations.
The city government also highlighted how the project is set to immediately improve daily life for residents in Barangay Moonwalk—shortening commutes and creating a more productive environment.
Olivarez added that while a portion of Segment 3B is currently operating with two lanes in each direction as right-of-way issues are being finalized, the local government remains confident that even in its current state, the expressway will deliver immediate gains—stimulating investments, energizing local businesses, and generating new jobs for Parañaqueños.
Developed through a partnership involving Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation and the Philippine Reclamation Authority, the CAVITEX C5 Link stands as a testament to how modern infrastructure can reshape a city’s future, Olivarez said.
