Stars of iconic K-drama 'Goblin' reunite for 10th anniversary special
The stars of the hit Korean drama “Guardian: The Lonely and Great God,” widely known as “Goblin,” have reunited to mark the series’ 10th anniversary.
South Korean network tvN announced that Gong Yoo, Kim Go-eun, Lee Dong-wook, and Yoo In-na recently completed filming for a special program tentatively titled “Goblin 10th Anniversary” in Gangneung, one of the drama’s original filming locations.
The cast spent two days in Gangneung from April 24 to 25 for the shoot.
According to Korean media reports, the special program will feature the main cast on a short trip as they reflect on the enduring impact and legacy of the series. It is scheduled to air in the first half of the year.
The drama originally aired in South Korea from December 2016 to January 2017, headlined by Gong Yoo, Kim Go-eun, Lee Dong-wook, Yoo In-na, and Yook Sung-jae.
Owing to its immense popularity, “Goblin” became the first cable drama in South Korea to surpass a 20 percent viewership rating on paid platforms. It also set a record at the time for the highest-rated premiere episode in Korean cable television history, posting a 6.7 percent rating.
