Massive fire razes houses in Muntinlupa

A massive fire erupted at Hacienda Rosario, Purok 2 in Barangay Sucat, Muntinlupa, on Wednesday, April 29, prompting authorities to raise the alarm to the third level. 

The blaze broke out in the morning, with the first alarm sounded at 6:51 a.m., escalating to the second alarm at 7:21 a.m., and reaching the third alarm at 8:05 a.m. 

According to the Muntinlupa City Department of Disaster Resilience and Management, the fire was under control at 11 a.m. before it was put out at 11:40 a.m. . 

Muntinlupa Mayor Rufy Biazon said barangay and Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) personnel immediately responded to the scene.

He personally monitored the emergency response operations of the BFP, MCDDRM, barangay, and volunteers. 

The city’s Social Services Department has prepared assistance to affected families.
