Former world title challenger Giemel Magramo had to shed off extra weight before getting the go-signal to meet Marco John Rementizo in Manny Pacquiao Presents Blow-By-Blow on Thursday, April 30, at Okada Manila.
Magramo, who battled Japanese pound-for-pound entrant Junto Nakatani for the world fly title several years ago, tipped in at 115.9 pounds in his first try.
But during his third try, Magramo weighed in at 114.5 pounds.
It was easy-breezy for Rementizo, who came in at 114.7 pounds.
At stake is the vacant Philippine Boxing Organization crown.
The Magramo-Rementizo encounter is part of a seven-fight card being backed by MannyPay and MP Holdings.
Representing Blow-By-Blow during Wednesday’s ore-fight ritual were Marife Barrera and matchmaker Art Monis.
The fights will serve as appetizer to the day’s big event, the Third Pacquiao-Elorde Boxing Awards being staged by the eight-division legend and Johnny and Liza Elorde and their son Mig.
Pacquiao will be in attendance alongside a number of ring stars of yesteryears, including Rolando Navarrete.
