Enrique Gil on Liza Soberano: We check on each other sometimes

Enrique Gil is still grateful to Liza Soberano years after parting ways to focus on their solo careers.

During his interview on the YouTube show, "1 on 1 with Karen Davila," Enrique mentioned that he and his former love team partner and girlfriend still keep in touch.

"We are still in touch at times, especially when important things happen in our lives, we check on each other sometimes," Enrique said.

Enrique continued: ''My life is here, and her life is there. I just really wishing her all the best, and I really hope that everything works out for her there, and all her dreams will come true. I'm happy for whatever's going on with her right now."

looking back on their relationship, Enrique said, "It was such a beautiful thing, like what she said on her interviews, it was a beautiful ending. The respect will always be there, I think we will always have some sort of love for each other because we basically grew up together."

Describing Liza as his childhood best friend and sweetheart, Enrique is thankful for all the memories they shared.

"I would consider her as my childhood best friend and sweetheart; we had some really great memories, and I'm just really thankful for all those memories," Enrique shared.

Being single for quite some time, Enrique was asked if he is ready to fall in love again.

"Yes! I think I've been so closed off for such a long time, and I always keep my heart open, kasi sometimes we need that, we have to move on, and I trust God whatever comes my way," he said.
