  • Both models feature four-wheel drive, electronically controlled locking differentials, terrain modes, Leopard Turn, and Denza App connectivity.
Denza Philippines has launched the all-new B5 and B8, giving the brand two plug-in hybrid SUV entries in the local market after its Manila International Auto Show (MIAS) 2026 showcase.
Denza B5
The B5 enters as the midsize option, while the B8 moves into full-size SUV territory with more power, a larger battery, and higher pricing. Both models use electrified drivetrains, four-wheel drive, electronically controlled locking differentials, and terrain systems designed for conditions beyond paved city roads.
The B5 runs on Denza’s DMO Super Hybrid technology. Its powertrain combines a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine with a dual-motor system for a total output of 578 PS and 760 Nm. A 31.8-kWh BYD Blade battery works with an 83-liter fuel tank to give the B5 a combined NEDC range of up to 975 kilometers.
Four-wheel drive comes with front and rear electronically controlled locking differentials. The setup gives the B5 added traction when road conditions change, especially on loose, wet, or uneven surfaces.
Inside, the B5 gets a large infotainment display, digital instrument cluster, head-up display, 360-degree camera, ambient lighting, panoramic sunroof, and advanced driver assistance features. Massage and ventilated seats are also included.

The B8 uses a 2.0-liter engine paired with a dual-motor system for its DMO system. Total output is rated at 612 PS and 760 Nm, with a 0 to 100 kph time of 4.8 seconds. Its 36.9-kWh battery and 91.5-liter fuel tank give it a combined NEDC range of up to 1,040 kilometers.
DiSus-P Intelligent Damping Suspension adds a more advanced chassis system to the B8. Aside from variable height adjustment, the system adjusts suspension damping force in real time based on road conditions, vehicle movement, and driver input. It is paired with electronically controlled locking differentials to help improve traction on gravel, wet roads, and off-road terrain.
The B8 cabin adds a larger infotainment display with smartphone connectivity, power-adjustable seats, dual wireless chargers, a built-in refrigerator, a surround-view camera system, and massage and ventilated seats. The B8 Dynamic features seating for 7, while the Premium variant offers seating for 6, with the middle row sporting two Captain’s chairs.
Both SUVs come with terrain response modes that include Mud, Sand, Rock, and Water Wading. They also feature a unique mode called Leopard Turn, which helps the vehicles make tighter turns in narrow trails, sharp U-turns, and confined off-road situations, by pivoting around the rear wheel, similar to how a tank makes in-place turns.
The B5 & B8 also share connectivity features with the Denza mobile app, which owners can use to check vehicle status, charging and fuel levels, and vehicle location. The app also gives access to selected smart controls.
The B5 is priced at ₱3,798,000, while the B8 is being offered for ₱4,998,000 for the Dynamic variant and ₱5,398,000 for the Premium variant. A promotional price package is being offered for the first 300 units sold, with the B5 getting a promo price of ₱3,498,000, and the B8 being offered at ₱4,698,000 and ₱5,098,000 for the Dynamic and Premium variants, respectively.
The Denza Arena test area, which was set up over the past weekend, included steep inclines, water wading, side slopes, and uneven terrain to showcase the vehicles' capabilities. During the launch event, the brand also held a ceremonial handover for the first 30 customers of the B5 and B8.
With the B5 and B8, Denza now has two electrified SUV choices aimed at buyers who want long range, high torque, premium cabin equipment, and off-road capability in one package. The launch also places the brand in a part of the market where plug-in hybrid drivetrains are beginning to directly challenge traditional combustion-powered SUVs in the premium segment.
