Xbox is lowering its Game Pass prices. Locally, it is P59 for the first 14 days, followed by P225 per month. It used to be P320 per month.
The rollback came with a message from new Xbox head, Asha Sharma, that prices have become too expensive for many players. This also comes after an announcement that Xbox is re-evaluating exclusives, potentially restarting the console wars.
The catch of lowered Game Pass prices, however, is that new Call of Duty games will no longer be added. Older COD titles will remain in the library. Apparently, Call of Duty is expensive to put on Game Pass.
Now, some of you may ask, doesn't Microsoft own Activision, the developer of Call of Duty? What does COD have to do pricing? First, yup, Microsoft owns Activision. Second, apparently, Microsoft is missing out on millions from COD sales. This way, it's more of a win-win for Microsoft with less compromise.
To use Game Pass and its libraty of over 200+ games, you'll need at least a Windows 10, 11, version 22H2 or higher. 150MB storage, and a minimum of 720p display. And, maybe a good internet connection.
