Motorists passing through Pasay City are advised to brace for continued traffic disruptions, as Maynilad Water Services, Inc. undertakes ongoing roadworks along St. Augustine Street to improve water service reliability.
In an advisory, the city government said the construction, which began on April 7, is scheduled daily from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. and is expected to run until May 31, 2026, subject to site conditions.
Traffic flow along the affected stretch has been reduced to a one-way, entry-only scheme, potentially causing delays—particularly during active construction hours.
Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano said traffic management measures have been implemented in coordination with the Pasay Traffic and Parking Management Office (PTPMO) and concerned barangays.
She added that personnel have been deployed on-site to assist motorists, while advisories and directional signage have been installed to guide traffic and ease congestion.
Despite these measures, authorities are urging drivers to plan their trips in advance and consider alternate routes to avoid heavy traffic.
The project is part of Maynilad’s ongoing infrastructure upgrades aimed at delivering more reliable and efficient water services to residents and businesses in Pasay.
Rubiano appealed for public patience, stressing that the temporary inconvenience is necessary to support long-term improvements in the city’s water system.
