Bulacan police collared a 59‑year‑old drug suspect tagged by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) as a high‑value target after seizing ₱1.07 million worth of shabu in a late‑night sting in San Rafael on Monday, April 27.
The buy‑bust was carried out by the joint forces of the Doña Remedios Trinidad (DRT) and San Rafael municipal police stations at Barangay Capihan around 10:40 p.m.
Police identified the suspect as an unemployed resident of Barangay San Nicolas, Gapan City, Nueva Ecija. He now faces charges for violating Sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Authorities recovered about 158 grams of suspected shabu valued at ₱1,079,160, along with buy‑bust money and a black belt bag.
The suspect and confiscated evidence were brought to the DRT police station for further investigation and filing of charges.
Bulacan police director Col. Jay B. Baybayan vowed relentless operations against drug personalities. “Our campaign is continuous and unrelenting, and anyone who violates the law will be held accountable,” he said, urging the public to report suspicious activity.
