P3.4-M shabu seized after armed encounter in Dasma bust
CAVITE – A buy-bust operation turned into an armed encounter that led to the arrest of one suspect and confiscation of P3.4 million worth of shabu in Dasmariñas City on Saturday, April 25.
During the entrapment operation launched by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Bulacan Provincial Office, the PDEA Region 4A, and the local police, the suspects fired shots at the authorities, prompting the operatives to return fire.
Two of the suspects managed to escape, but a suspect identified as alias Ali was injured during the encounter and was apprehended.
Confiscated from the suspects were 500 grams of a white crystalline substance.
Alias Ali was taken to the hospital for medical treatment.
In Bacoor, meanwhile, the PDEA Cavite Provincial Office and the Philippine National Police Cavite Maritime Police Station dismantled a drug den and collared six suspects in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Panapaan II.
The PDEA 4A identified the suspects as alias Elsie, 54; alias Jerico, 53; alias Elmer, 36; Alfie, 35; alias Renz, 36; and alias Jerry, 50.
Seized from their possession were more or less ten grams of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of P68,000.
The suspects are now under custody and are facing drug charges.
