2 minors killed in tricycle crash in Batangas

MATAAS NA KAHOY, Batangas – Two minors were killed and six were injured in a tricycle crash in Barangay Kinalaglagan here on Sunday, April 26.
Police identified the victims as Carl Benedict Brillates, student, and Briegh Daniel Potian, four.
Investigation said the tricycle lost its brakes, rammed a steel barricade, and fell into a 30-foot-deep ravine.
The victims were taken to a hospital where the fatalities were declared dead.
Laguna accident
Meanwhile, nine individuals were injured when a public utility vehicle overturned on the Majayjay-Lucban Road in Barangay Bakia in Majayjay, Laguna on Sunday.
Police said the vehicle, with 17 persons onboard, including the driver, lost its brakes on a downhill road and crashed.
Eight passengers and the driver were injured and taken to hospitals.
Follow-up investigation on both accidents is ongoing.
