'Perfect Crown' scores its highest rating in South Korea
Korean drama “Perfect Crown,” starring IU and Byeon Woo-seok, has achieved its highest rating to date in South Korea.
Episode 6 of “Perfect Crown,” which aired on Korean TV network MBC on April 25 achieved a nationwide rating of 11.2 percent, the drama’s highest rating since its premiere on April 10.
This was higher by 0.6 percentage point compared to the 10.6 percent rating of episode 5.
The rating placed “Perfect Crown” in second place among shows on terrestrial channels nationwide.
The first place went to “Recipe for Love” starring Jin Se-yeon and Park Ki-woong,” which garnered 12.7 percent.
On the other hand, “Perfect Crown” is No. 1 in Seoul, Gyeonggi and Incheon.
Episode 6 achieved a rating of 11.3 percent in the metropolitan area, the same rating the drama achieved on April 18.
To date, “Perfect Crown” is seventh among the all-time highest Friday-Saturday dramas on MBC.
One of the highlights of episode 6 is the kissing scene involving its lead stars.
“Perfect Crown” is set in 21st century constitutional monarchy in Korea and follows the story of Grand Prince I-an who becomes embroiled in a power struggle with other members of the royal family.
