A Sangguniang Kabataan chairman and a kagawad in Taguig City have apologized after being seen riding a motorcycle without helmets on Friday, April 24, in violation of traffic rules.
Ivan Guzman, SK chairman of Barangay Upper Bicutan, and Glenn Gacusan, SK kagawad, posted apologies on social media.
Kaya ako po at aking kasama na si SK Kagawad Glenn ay buong kababaang humihingi ng paumanhin sa insidenteng ito (Today, a picture/news spread about me and my companion not wearing a helmet while riding a motorcycle. Yes, that's right, there are no excuses – we made a mistake. Therefore, I and my companion, SK Kagawad Glenn, humbly apologize for this incident),” said Guzman in a statement.
He said they are ready to face any fine or punishment for their violation.
“You can hope that this will not happen again and this will serve as a lesson for us so that we can be more careful in showing proper discipline in our community,” he added.
He also asked forgiveness from the Taguig City government, including Mayor Lani Cayetano, Barangay Captain Francis Sunga. and the SK of Barangay Upper Bicutan.
Good afternoon to my fellow barangays and to all of Taguig, I am Sk Kagawad Glenn Gacusan, who was with and the driver of the motorcycle with Chairman Ivan Guzman, whom you saw in the photo that is circulating without wearing a helmet.
