To keep pace with modern times, Binangonan has turned what was once a storage room for books and learning materials into a digital library, widening access and empowering students and residents with e-learning programs.

The office of Mayor Rhea Ynares said the Binangonan Municipal E-Library has recorded 5,165 total users in the first three months of 2026. March alone saw a record-breaking 2,362 visitors, which was the highest monthly turnout in the library’s history.
The municipality's e-library marked a milestone last March as it joined the nationwide celebration of the 67th Public Library Day, carrying the theme “Public Library in Action: Blueprint of an Empowered Community.”
Library officials credited the surge to the continued support of Mayor Ynares and Vice Mayor Russel Ynares. Under their administration, the municipal library has successfully transitioned from a traditional book repository into a dynamic community center focused on empowering its people, especially students.
“We’ve truly become ‘in action,’” said Joshua Mabanglo, library in-charge. He noted how programs and services have expanded to meet the evolving needs of the community.
In line with its programs, the e-library will launch summer reading activities for elementary students in partnership with Ma’am Aileen Doblada Sto. Domingo, a recipient of the “My Hero Teacher” recognition.
According to Vice Mayor Ynares, whose office oversees the library, the initiative also aims to highlight how a modern public library can create a lasting impact on the lives of Binangonan residents.
He also told Manila Bulletin that several students have sent messages of appreciation to the municipal government for the library.
