5th-alarm fire ravages Commonwealth Market in Quezon City

A fifth-alarm fire tore through Commonwealth Market in Quezon City before dawn on Saturday, April 25, escalating within minutes from its initial alarm, the Quezon City Fire District said.
The blaze quickly intensified, drawing a massive response from Bureau of Fire Protection units and volunteer firefighting groups.
Fire records showed the incident was first reported at 2:32 a.m. before being raised to first alarm at 2:34 a.m. and second alarm at 2:36 a.m.
It was further elevated to third alarm at 3:03 a.m., fourth alarm at 3:17 a.m., and reached fifth alarm status at 4:58 a.m., indicating a large-scale fire.

As of 6:16 a.m., authorities declared the fire under control.
It was later declared fire out at 6:36 a.m.
