The Southern Police District (SPD) launched a 24-hour relentless anti-crime operation that seized P2.24 million worth of illegal drugs and put 51 suspects behind bars.
From April 23 to 24, SPD operatives recovered 329.96 grams of shabu and 2.1 grams of marijuana kush in buy-bust operations, leading to the arrest of 12 drug suspects.
The dragnet also snared 11 wanted persons, including a "top most wanted person" and another "most wanted" fugitive, while anti-illegal gambling raids resulted in the arrest of 27 individuals and seizure of P6,700 in bet money.
One suspect was caught with a firearm in an anti-loose gun sweep, while enforcement of local ordinances saw 2,150 violators fined a total of P439,100.
“The SPD will not stop fighting all forms of criminality. The public can expect us to intensify our operations to ensure that our communities are safe and sound,” said SPD director Col. Glenn Oliver Cinco.
