BULACAN — Three drug peddlers, including two on the Philippine National Police–Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PNP–PDEA) Unified Watchlist, were arrested in separate buy-bust operations in Baliwag City and Calumpit on Thursday night, April 23.
Police said the operations, conducted jointly by the Bulacan Provincial Office and PDEA Region 3, led to the confiscation of more than ₱360,000 worth of suspected shabu and firearms.
Lt. Jayson F. San Pedro, Baliwag police chief, reported that at around 7:40 p.m., the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) carried out a buy-bust operation in Barangay Poblacion, resulting in the arrest of two suspects known by the aliases “Madam” and “Ali.”
Authorities seized four sachets of suspected shabu weighing about 50 grams valued at ₱340,000, along with a .22-caliber revolver and two bullets.
Later that evening, at around 10:30 p.m., Calumpit police arrested another suspect in Barangay Caniogan.
Recovered from him were 12 sachets of suspected shabu weighing three grams worth ₱20,400, buy-bust money, and a .38-caliber revolver with three live rounds.
Bulacan police officer-in-charge Col. Jay B. Baybayan said the arrests highlight the intensified campaign against illegal drugs in the province.
PRO3 director Brig. Gen. Jess B. Mendez commended the operating units, stressing that the crackdown reflects the PNP’s focused agenda to rid Central Luzon of drug activities.
