Man found dead on Antipolo roadside

A man was found dead on the roadside shortly after residents heard gunshots in Lower Tinagan, Barangay Cupang, Antipolo City, Rizal, on Thursday, April 23.

The Rizal Police Provincial Office (Rizal PPO) said residents heard two gunshots at around 2 p.m. and checked the area at around 2:40 p.m. They saw the man’s body, identified only as “Bre,” lying on the pavement at the edge of the road.
They immediately reported the incident to the Barangay Cupang Command Center.
Personnel of the Antipolo Component City Police Station responded after receiving the call from the command center.
While they have not disclosed yet whether the victim sustained gunshot wounds, they said one fired .45 cartridge case and three live .38 rounds were recovered at the scene.
Authorities are conducting a follow-up investigation to determine the circumstances of the incident and to identify a possible suspect.
