The Pasay City government, led by Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano, has partnered with JCI Manileña to launch “LENA CARE: Supporting Autism Everywhere”, an initiative to strengthen support for children on the autism spectrum and raise funds for clinical assessments.
The program, introduced at P. Villanueva Elementary School, featured an Autism Awareness Seminar for parents, teachers, and community members.
Rubiano said the project aims to help low-income families access proper diagnosis, while JCI Manileña Interim President Gremelyn Belleza emphasized building lasting support systems.
