Artists to join Manila's Summer Pride Parade on April 25
Artists are set to bring color and energy to Manila’s Summer Pride Parade on April 25, as Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso invites the public to join the celebration.
Assembly starts at 4 p.m. along South Road in Ermita, with thousands expected to march in a high-energy parade celebrating the LGBTQIA+ community and its allies.
From Ermita, the parade will pass by the Quirino Grandstand before culminating in a festive gathering at Remedios Circle, drawing families, barkadas, and supporters from across the city.
Floats, bold costumes, and dazzling drag performances are set to light up the route, turning Manila into a sea of color and celebration.
Domagoso said the event goes beyond festivity.
“This is more than a parade, it is a declaration that Manila stands for dignity, equality, and safe spaces for all,” the mayor said.
The Department of Tourism, Culture and Arts of Manila (DTCAM) highlighted the vital role of the LGBTQIA+ community in shaping the capital’s identity—especially in hubs like Malate, known for its vibrant creative and nightlife scene.
Organized under the city’s banner of inclusivity, the parade also reinforces Manila’s anti-discrimination policies that protect residents regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, and expression.
Domagoso also extended an open invitation to everyone:
“Welcome po kayong lahat sa Maynila (You are all welcome in Manila).”
Participants are advised to follow DTCAM’s official Facebook page for route maps, updates, and reminders ahead of the celebration.
