Quezon City alert: Fixers target PWD, senior citizen services
By Trixee Rosel
The Quezon City government on Wednesday, April 22, cautioned residents against individuals illegally offering paid assistance in the processing of Persons with Disability (PWD) IDs, senior citizen IDs, and purchase booklets.
Authorities stressed that such fixer activities are strictly prohibited under Republic Act No. 11032, or the Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Government Service Delivery Act of 2018.
These are also covered under Ordinance No. SP-1656 S-2005, which bans fixers within and around government offices.
The city government urged the public to directly access legitimate services through the QC e-Services portal at https://qceservices.quezoncity.gov.ph/, where applications for QCitizen IDs are processed online for faster and more transparent transactions.
It added that purchase booklets are issued free of charge at the Persons with Disability Affairs Office (PDAO) and the Office for the Senior Citizens’ Affairs (OSCA) at the Quezon City Hall Compound.
These are also available at the city’s six District Action Offices.
For inquiries and verification, the PDAO is located at the Ground Floor Community Center Building, Gate 3, Quezon City Hall Compound, with hotline numbers 8988-4242 local 8123 and 7809, and email [email protected].
The OSCA may be reached at local 1104 and 8703-2843, and email [email protected], alongside the QCID Office and QC Helpline 122.
