Brewing a more mindful commute
How Belmont Hotel Manila is supporting cyclists and Filipino farmers
As daily routines evolve and more people embrace the freedom of the open road, there is a growing need for pit stops that fuel the body and the journey.
Belmont Hotel Manila introduces Bike & Brew, an outdoor coffee kiosk situated right along the hotel driveway fronting Portwood Street in Newport City. This isn't just a coffee kiosk; it is a dedicated hub for the movers and shakers of Pasay. Whether you are a cyclist mid-ride, a commuter dodging traffic, or a passerby in need of a pause, Bike & Brew is open daily from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM to ensure your day starts with a purpose.
“With everything happening today, life demands so much more from everyone. And sometimes, that extra push comes from the simplest things. A good cup of coffee can set the tone for the day,” shares Cluster General Manager Sonny Alvaro. “At Belmont Hotel Manila, we believe that every experience should create meaningful impact. Through Bike & Brew, we are not only supporting our local community here in Newport City, but also the farming communities behind every cup. By working with partners like Tuburan Coffee and SGD Coffee, we are able to bring Filipino coffee closer to more people while making more mindful and responsible choices together.”
Central to Bike & Brew is its partnership with local coffee advocates who bring Filipino coffee closer to the community. Belmont Hotel Manila works alongside Tuburan Coffee, led by its owner Mr. Aljun Diamante a brand rooted in the rich coffee-growing heritage of Cebu that supports upland farming communities through sustainable sourcing and fair opportunities. Strengthening this collaboration is SGD Coffee, a like-minded partner that champions Filipino coffee culture and works closely with local farmers to elevate the quality and appreciation of Philippine beans.
The launch was marked by a 13.5-kilometer community ride that began at Belmont Hotel Manila, passing through fellow Megaworld Hotels and Resorts properties including Savoy Hotel Manila, Grand Westside Hotel, and Kingsford Hotel, before returning to Belmont. The route highlighted how cycling continues to grow as a practical mode of transport while connecting key areas across Pasay and Parañaque.
Bike & Brew serves coffee made from beans sourced through its local partners, bringing regional coffee heritage closer to the city while supporting Filipino farmers. Alongside its coffee offerings, the kiosk also features a selection of items for those on the go, including signature drinks such as Butterscotch Royale, Campfire Biscoff, and Bukayo Latte, as well as baked goods like Banana Walnut, Blueberry, Cheese, and Double Chocolate muffins.
As part of Megaworld Hotels and Resorts’ Mindful Travel direction, Bike & Brew represents a shift toward more intentional and accessible experiences. Positioned at the edge of the hotel and open to the public, it creates a daily touchpoint where movement, locality, and community come together.
For those passing through, it is more than just a stop. It is a small but meaningful way to keep going.
