Aboitiz-led AUSI inks 20-year solar power deal with Ortigas Land

Aboitiz-led Advent Upgrade Solar Inc. (AUSI) has entered into a partnership with Ortigas Land Corporation to supply two decades' worth of energy to power GH Mall.
In a statement, Ortigas Land announced that AUSI will install a 1,587.20 kilowatt-peak solar photovoltaic (PV) system at GH Mall to elevate the lifestyle experience of the Ortigas community through a sustainable facility management approach that is both environmentally responsible and community-focused.
This new agreement strengthens the sustainable foundations of GH Mall as Ortigas Land celebrates its 95th year in the industry. According to AUSI, the 20-year PPA is designed to support the sustainable growth of GH Mall by providing the estate with energy security and operational cost optimization.
By utilizing solar power, the developer ensures the creation of an environment where businesses can thrive and where the legacy of the Ortigas community can grow for generations to come.
Renee Bacani, Ortigas Land vice president and head of Ortigas Malls, praised the collaboration, saying, “At Ortigas Land, our trajectory reflects a commitment to progress that goes beyond development. We do this by creating places that remain meaningful over time.”
“This partnership with AUSI ensures that we continue to create an environment where businesses can thrive and where the stories of families within the Ortigas community can grow and unfold,” she added.
Ruth Yu-Owen, AUSI chairperson and Upgrade Energy Philippines president and CEO, commented, “We are proud to be a partner in environmental stewardship for Ortigas Land as they continue to build great places for life. Through this 20-year collaboration, AUSI will deliver a solar solution that not only supports the operational goals of GH Mall but also enhances the everyday experiences of Filipino families.”
The joint venture between Aboitiz Power Distributed Renewables, Inc. and Upgrade Energy Philippines continues to develop, build, and operate distributed solar solutions catered specifically to large commercial and industrial consumers. (Gabriell Christel Galang)
