President Marcos has expressed his eagerness to work closely with the Thai government on energy and food security.

Marcos spoke with Thailand's Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul by phone on Tuesday, April 21. 

During the call, Marcos conveyed his intention to work closely with the Royal Thai Government "to expand practical cooperation across priority areas."

These include energy and food security, combating transnational crimes in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) region, and ensuring that ASEAN remains a force for peace, growth, and opportunity for both peoples."

Marcos also congratulated Anutin on his appointment as Prime Minister. 

The President said that Prime Minister Anutin's re-election reflects the trust of the Thai people in his leadership and vision, and expressed his eagerness.
