The Malabon City government announced on Tuesday, April 21, the release of the second tranche of financial assistance under the 2026 Malabon Ahon Blue Card (MABC) Program, benefiting 93,727 households.
The city government said the payout coincides with the Tambobong Festival 2026, a month-long celebration marking Malabon’s 25th Cityhood Anniversary and 427th Founding Anniversary from April 21 to May 21, highlighting the spirit of unity among Malabueños.
Mayor Jeannie Sandoval said the city remains committed to sustaining support for residents, especially those in need.
“Ito po ang panahon para magtulungan upang masiguro ang kapakanan ng bawat tahanan. Sa pamamagitan ng Malabon Ahon Blue Card, nailalapit natin ang serbisyo at tulong sa mga komunidad, lalo na sa higit na nangangailangan (This is the time for us to work together to ensure the welfare of every household. Through the Malabon Ahon Blue Card, we bring services and assistance closer to communities, especially those most in need),” she said.
She added that the release of the second tranche is one of city government's initiatives to address urgent needs amid the prevailing challenges.
The release marks the 16th round of quarterly assistance since the program was launched in December 2022.
Beneficiaries may claim their cash assistance through BancNet-powered ATMs or Universal Storefront Services Corporation (USSC) branches from April 21 at 8 a.m. until May 21 at 11:59 p.m.
Qualified households will receive notifications once the assistance is available and may verify their inclusion through official MABC channels.
The local government said the program continues to expand, with additional benefits such as burial and hospitalization assistance, education support, and livelihood programs.
More than 2,000 households have received P5,000 in burial and medical assistance, while over 4,000 students benefit from initiatives such as the Eskwela Savings Project and MABC for Working Students.
The MABC para sa Kababaihan also provides livelihood opportunities for single mothers.
The city government is also coordinating with restaurants, fast-food chains, drugstores, and other partner establishments to offer possible discounts to residents using their Malabon Ahon Blue Cards.
MABC head Catherine Larracas said the initiative aims to further support residents amid rising fuel prices and other basic commodities.
City Administrator Dr. Alexander Rosete said the continued rollout of the program reflects the city government’s commitment to efficient and inclusive service delivery.
