BAIC Philippines has added the B40e Trailmaster rEV to its local lineup, putting a plug-in hybrid off-roader into the Philippine market.
The vehicle formed part of BAIC’s Manila International Auto Show 2026 display, alongside the B30e Dune Hybrid, B60 Beaumont Hybrid, B60 Beaumont rEV, and B80 Wagon Special Edition.
At ₱2,888,000, the B40e Trailmaster rEV gives BAIC an electrified model with a stronger off-road bent than the usual crossover formula. It also adds another option to a local market that is slowly seeing more hybrid and electrified SUVs beyond city-focused nameplates.
The rest of the display reinforced the same direction. The B30e Dune Hybrid had promo prices starting at ₱1,479,000 for the 4x2 and ₱1,788,000 for the 4x4. The B60 Beaumont Hybrid started at ₱2,878,000, while the B60 Beaumont rEV was priced at ₱3,398,000. The B80 Wagon Special Edition was listed at ₱4,000,000.
SUV brand
BAIC is building around SUVs with a tougher look and more utility-led positioning, then widening the range with hybrid and electrified choices. That gives it a distinct lane in a market where many new-energy vehicles still follow mainstream crossover shapes and are geared more toward road use.
For buyers, the B40e Trailmaster rEV could be one of the more unusual additions to the segment. It keeps the visual identity and purpose-driven appeal of an off-roader while joining the wider shift toward electrified powertrains.
During MIAS 2026, BAIC also backed the display with test drives, trade-in appraisal services, financing offers, on-site bank approvals, and cash discounts of up to ₱100,000 on selected units through reservations made at the show.
The B40e Trailmaster rEV now gives BAIC another foothold in the electrified side of the market, while keeping the brand’s Philippine lineup centered on SUVs and off-roaders.
