Two men found dead after cries of 'Tulong!' in Tondo condo
Shouts of “Tulong, tulong!” were reportedly heard inside a unit moments before two men were found dead after a violent incident at an Urban Deca Homes condominium in Barangay 94, Tondo, Manila, on Sunday night, April 19, the Manila Police District (MPD) said.
Based on the MPD report, the incident was initially relayed through a telephone call from Tondo Medical Center at around 10:29 p.m. and was classified as a “death under inquiry.” The scene was discovered at around 9 p.m. at Building 2 of the complex.
One of the victims was identified as Jovanie Alsa, 27, a resident of Building 5, Unit 373, while the other male of legal age remains unidentified.
According to the initial investigation, female witnesses said they were about to return to their respective units when they heard a man shouting “Tulong, tulong!” coming from inside Unit 872.
When they returned, they knocked on the unit, but no one was responding.
The victim was later found lying on the ground floor of Building 2.
Meanwhile, the other victim was also found dead at the scene after apparently falling within the building.
Responding personnel from Smokey Mountain Precinct, including Patrolmen Mark Joel Adlaon, Felixy Along, and Kristine Borres, assisted at the location.
MPD’s Homicide Section is investigating the case.
