The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) is looking for the driver of a white Toyota Vios who allegedly sped away from a gasoline station in Barangay Payatas early Monday, April 20, without paying for ₱1,500 worth of fuel.
QCPD director Police Brig. Gen. Randy Glenn Silvio said the incident happened at around 3:10 a.m. on Payatas Road when the vehicle stopped at a fuel station to refuel.
Based on initial reports, a pump attendant had just finished dispensing gasoline when the driver suddenly sped off as payment was about to be collected.
The vehicle was later seen heading toward the Litex area in Barangay Commonwealth.
Police said the report was received at around 8 a.m., prompting immediate verification and follow-up investigation by responding personnel.
Silvio said authorities are currently working to determine the registered owner of the vehicle to identify and locate the suspect, who may face appropriate charges.
The QCPD is appealing to the public for any information that could help in the identification and apprehension of the motorist.
