Marcos declares special non-working days in Pulilan, Butuan

President Marcos has declared special non-working days in May for Pulilan town and Butuan City to celebrate their respective festivals.
Under Proclamation No. 1213, Marcos declared May 14 as a special non-working day in Pulilan, Bulacan, in observance of the town’s Kneeling Carabao Festival.
“It is but fitting and proper that the people of Pulilan be given full opportunity to participate in the occasion and enjoy the celebration,” the proclamation, which was signed on April 15, stated.
Meanwhile, May 19 has been declared a special non-working day in Butuan City for the celebration of the annual Balangay Festival.
Proclamation No. 1214 was also signed on April 15 by Executive Secretary Ralph Recto on behalf of the President.
According to the proclamations, the declarations allow residents in both localities to fully take part in their respective cultural and religious festivities.
