Performing at the Outdoor Theatre during the festival’s second weekend (Monday, Manila time), members G-Dragon, Taeyang, and Daesung proved that even after two decades, their star power remains unmatched.
The trio’s appearance marks their biggest comeback since debuting in South Korea 20 years ago, an emotional milestone for both the group and their loyal fanbase, VIPs.
Delivering a hit-packed setlist that included crowd favorites like "Fantastic Baby," "Ringa Linga," "Good Boy," and "We Like 2 Party," BIGBANG turned the stage into a nostalgic yet electrifying celebration of their legacy.
But it was the announcement that truly stole the show.“This year marks BIGBANG’s 20th anniversary… we have a special announcement,” G-Dragon told the roaring crowd. “For the first time here in Coachella, the BIGBANG 20th anniversary world tour begins in August.”
The revelation sparked deafening cheers, signaling not just a tour but a full-scale revival of one of K-pop’s most influential groups.
Taeyang reflected on their journey, saying, “Twenty years ago, BIGBANG began, but we’re not done yet. Like our name, this is just the beginning.” Meanwhile, Daesung echoed the sentiment of renewal: “This is not just our comeback—this is our restart.”
Closing their historic set with "Still Life," the group delivered a poignant reminder of their enduring artistry, blending memories, youth, and evolution into one final, unforgettable moment.
