A night of timeless music and legacy: 'NINA XX' celebrates 20 Years of a diamond icon

A landmark moment in Original Pilipino Music (OPM) history takes center stage as Asia’s Diamond Soul Siren, Nina, commemorates the 20th anniversary of her era-defining album "Nina Live!" with a  concert event dubbed, "NINA XX."
Set to unfold on May 9, Saturday, 8 PM at the Newport Performing Arts Theater, this once-in-a-generation celebration promises an unforgettable evening of music, nostalgia, and vocal brilliance.
Widely regarded as one of the most influential albums in Philippine music history, "Nina Live!"—released in 2005, remains the best-selling live album by a Filipino artist and one of the few to achieve Diamond certification in the country.
Beyond its commercial success, the album redefined the OPM landscape, elevating live cover performances into a cultural phenomenon and embedding itself into the everyday soundtrack of Filipino life, from radio airwaves to karaoke sessions nationwide.
Two decades later, "NINA XX" revisits this iconic repertoire with renewed artistry and emotional depth.
Fans can expect a powerful reimagining of beloved hits such as "Love Moves in Mysterious Ways" and "Through the Fire," delivered with the same passion that first captivated audiences—now enriched by years of musical evolution.
Joining Nina on this milestone evening are some of the country’s finest R&B and soul artists including Kris Lawrence, Thor, and Jay Durias, whose collective artistry promises dynamic collaborations and electrifying moments on stage.
The concert is helmed by the esteemed Soc Mina, ensuring a rich and masterfully orchestrated soundscape, while visionary Calvin Murphy Neria brings the production to life as concert director—crafting an immersive and emotionally resonant live experience.
