212 Motor enters PH market with T01

212 Motor Philippines entered the Philippine market at the Manila International Auto Show 2026 with the 212 T01 as its first model. The T01 traces its roots to the 1965 BAW BJ212, identified by the company as China’s first mass-produced 4x4 military utility vehicle. 
The current 212 brand operates as an independent premium lifestyle marque. For the local market, it opened with a body-on-frame SUV aimed at buyers looking for a more traditional off-road vehicle layout.
The T01 uses a ladder-frame chassis and a 5-link solid axle suspension system. It also comes with a part-time 4WD system, front and rear differential locks, and dedicated off-road drive modes.
Ground clearance is listed at 235 mm, while water-wading depth is rated at 850 mm. Those figures give the T01 clear relevance for rough-road use and flood-prone conditions.
Power comes from an AUCAN 2.0-liter turbo-diesel engine producing 170-PS and 415-Nm. It is paired with an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission.
Inside, the T01 gets a 10.25-inch full-LCD instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch central display. It also comes with a 360-degree panoramic camera system, a transparent chassis view, and seats with heating and ventilation.
MIAS 2026 served as 212 Motor Philippines' first public introduction of the T01 to Philippine buyers. The model entered the market with a ladder-frame chassis, part-time 4WD, front and rear differential locks, a 2.0-liter turbo-diesel engine, and a cabin equipped with dual digital displays, 360-degree panoramic vision, transparent chassis view, and heated and ventilated seats.
