Kris Aquino teases son Bimby about having a girlfriend in sweet birthday post
Celebrating the 19th birthday of her youngest son, James Carlos Aquino Yap Jr., better known as Bimby Aquino, the “Queen of All Media” Kris Aquino shared on Instagram a cute video to mark the occasion.
It shows Kris lon a bed conversing with BImby, going on to ask him if he has a girlfriend.
Bimby merely laughed and said, “I love you, Mama.”
In her post, Kris expressed excitement at the thought of Bimby liking a girl.
“I never thought I’d be excited for the day when Bimb really likes a girl. He told me he feels she’s ‘special.’ My birthday wish for my bunso is that she does become his first girlfriend—and who knows, God willing, also his last. Yes, I’ll be very blessed to have her as my daughter-in-law (in 7–9 years?),” Kris wrote.
She also shared that she’s been repeatedly asking her son if they could send flowers to the girl he likes, but Bimby told her to take it easy.
“I’ve been asking Bimb over the past couple of weeks if ‘we’ can send her flowers, balloons, candies or chocolates, food—even half of a couple hoodie in white since it’s summer. I also asked Bimb if she has a new phone—he freaked out and said, ‘Mama, chill. You’ll overwhelm her because she’ll know it’s not from me but from you. Please let it flow.’”
Kris expressed her gratitude to her son for the sacrifices he made while taking care of her, adding that she now wants to let Bimby decide what he wants to do.
“Bimb has sacrificed so much to take care of me, but he doesn’t have to anymore. The best gift I can give him is to let him enjoy his youth and choose his own career path. My deal with him is that he just has to give his 100 percent,” Kris wrote.
Kris also mentioned that she has a new project where she will be working with actor Dingdong Dantes.
“As for me, I have one more infusion session of Rituxan. This is already my second cycle—it’s a very strong immunosuppressant, but I’ve gotten encouraging results. The people I will be working with, under the team created by my godson @dongdantes, will just need to take extra precautions.
“There was supposed to be a final presentation earlier (April 18), but I asked for a reschedule. I didn’t want to see what my comeback show was going to look and sound like because this is Bimb’s weekend, and later we’re eating out (only my second time since coming home) with very close family. #happybirthday #iloveyou #19.”
