High-value drug suspect yields P2.7-M shabu in Cainta

The Rizal Police Provincial Office (Rizal PPO) said the suspect, identified as “Has,” was arrested following a tip from an informant, linking him to the illegal drug trade and alleged drug use.
The operation was conducted at around 11:15 p.m. following surveillance, validation, and coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), leading to the suspect’s arrest.
Recovered from him were seven sachets of suspected shabu weighing approximately 410 grams, along with a sling bag, a P1,000 bill used as marked money, and 15 pieces of boodle money.
“Ang matagumpay na operasyong ito ay patunay ng aming patuloy at seryosong kampanya laban sa ilegal na droga. Hindi kami titigil sa pagtugis sa mga sangkot upang maprotektahan ang ating mga kababayang Rizaleño (The successful operation is a testament to our continued and serious campaign against illegal drugs. We will not stop pursuing those involved in order to protect our fellow Rizaleños),” Rizal PPO director Col. Eleazar R. Barber Jr. said.
The suspect is now in police custody and will face charges for violations of Sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
