The 18th Philippine Food Expo (PFE) opened Friday at the World Trade Center Metro Manila, gathering stakeholders from across the food, beverage, agriculture, and export sectors for a three-day industry showcase.
Running from April 17 to 19, the annual trade event organized by PHILFOODEX Inc. highlights the breadth of Philippine food manufacturing while expanding its international reach through new partnerships and exhibitors.
The opening ceremonies were led by representatives from key government agencies, including the Departments of Trade and Industry, Agriculture, and Tourism, alongside industry leaders and trade groups, signaling continued public and private sector support for the country’s food industry.
This year’s edition introduces a larger exhibition floor and an expanded International Pavilion, with participating partners from Malaysia and India, reflecting growing cross-border trade opportunities and regional collaboration.
The expo also features dedicated zones for exporters, retailers, and equipment suppliers, aimed at facilitating sourcing, business matching, and industry networking.
Among the event’s highlights is the Culinary Challenge, where culinary students and emerging chefs compete in a series of contests that showcase technical skill, creativity, and regional flavors.
Live demonstrations and stage presentations are scheduled throughout the three-day run, with participating chefs including Gerick Manalo, Emily Peralta, JM Sunglao, and Chris Carangian, among others.
More than a trade exhibition, PFE 2026 positions itself as a platform for industry growth and collaboration, bringing together manufacturers, exporters, and culinary professionals under a shared focus on elevating Filipino food in the global market.
