4 stranded hikers rescued in Cagayan

CLAVERIA, Cagayan – Authorities rescued four hikers stranded on Bantay Kalbo mountain in Barangay Taggat Norte here on Saturday, April 18.
The Philippine Coast Guard-Claveria, the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), and the Philippine National Police reached the group and safely assisted them down the terrain. They were transported to Blue Lagoon Beach in Barangay Taggat.
They were in good physical condition and turned over to the MDRRMO for documentation and further assistance.
Authorities reminded people to take necessary precautions when trekking remote and elevated areas.
