Man mauled to death over affair

INFANTA, Quezon – A 38-year-old man was mauled to death over an alleged illicit affair in Purok Lawaan, Poblacion Bantilan here on Thursday morning, April 16.
Police identified the victim as Jonathan.
Investigation said the suspect Jesson confronted the victim about his alleged illicit relationship with his wife.
Jesson beat the victim who lost consciousness. The suspect took the victim to a hospital where he was declared dead.
Meanwhile, a pedicab driver was stabbed dead by a 44-year-old jobless man on Thursday evening in Purok 4 Ibaba, Barangay Dalahican, Lucena City, Quezon.
Police said suspect Carlo approached the victim Roger in front of his house.
The victim confronted the suspect about missing personal items. A heated argument erupted and the suspect drew a bladed weapon and stabbed the victim multiple times in the body.
Lawmen are pursuing the suspects who fled and face appropriate cases.
In Lucena City, a Department of Public Works and Highways worker was killed and his colleague was injured after a trailer truck rammed their dump truck on the Diversion Road in Barangay Domoit on Thursday morning.
Police identified the victim as Efren and the injured as Jomel.
Investigation said the victims were inspecting a damaged section of the road when the trailer truck driven by Virgilio, 62, rammed their dump truck, which moved forward and hit the victims. Virgilio said he fell asleep while driving.
The victims were taken to a hospital where Efren was declared dead.
Virgilio is in police custody and faces multiple cases.
