4 foreign nationals held for immigration violations

Four foreign nationals were apprehended in Mindanao for allegedly violating Philippine immigration and environmental laws.
Lin Wenyu, alias Anson Lais Lim, 52, male, from Fujian, China, was arrested on Thursday, April 16, in a hardware store in Barangay Lower Taway, Ipil municipality, Zamboanga Sibugay province for falsifying Philippine citizenship to obtain government-issued identification cards and corporate documents. Seized from the suspect were smuggled goods and marine species.
Line Weidong, male, 57; Xie Meiya Yu, 54, and Qiu Meiyu were nabbed on Tuesday, April 14, in a commercial establishment in Zamboanga City for violating Philippine immigration laws.
The four suspects were caught by the Armed Forces of the Philippines, Bureau of Immigration, and the Philippine National Police.
Major Gen. Yegor Rey P. Barroquillo Jr., commander of the 1st Infantry (Tabak) Division, commended operating units for arresting the suspects.
Their achievements, he said, reflect the government’s strong commitment to safeguarding national security, enforcing immigration laws, and maintaining public order.
