Two of the most wanted persons are now in jail following the surrender of one and the arrest of another in Muntinlupa City, underscoring the Southern Police District's intensified campaign against high-profile offenders.
On April 15, alias Manuel, 59, ranked No. 2 on Makati police's most wanted list, surrendered to the Muntinlupa Police Warrant and Subpoena Unit in Barangay Tunasan, Muntinupa.
He is facing a rape charge, with a warrant of arrest issued by Presiding Judge Cesar Aganon of the Makati Regional Trial Court Branch 60. No bail was recommended.
He is now under temporary detention at the Muntinlupa police custodial facility.
On April 14, the District Mobile Force Battalion of the Southern Police District captured Nunoy, 19, on Biazon Road in Barangay Poblacion. He is facing a murder charge.
He was nabbed based on a warrant of arrest with no bail recommended, issued on April 13 by Presiding Judge Lovella Fernandez Demetria-Valdez of the Muntinlupa Regional Trial Court Branch 276.
"The arrest of these individuals is a clear message that the Southern Police District will never falter in its pursuit of justice,” said Col. Glenn Oliver Cinco, acting SPD director.
