Manila Mayor Francisco "Isko Moreno" Domagoso is inviting both members and allies of the LGBTQIA+ community to take part in the Manila Summer Pride 2026 parade, emphasizing that the celebration is open to all.
Set on April 25, the parade will assemble at Quirino Grandstand and make its way to Remedios Circle, with festivities kicking off at 4 p.m.
The city government has also publicly shown its support, updating the profile photo of its official Facebook page to an interlocking rainbow ribbon, a symbol of solidarity with the LGBTQIA+ community.
According to event materials, the parade welcomes organizations, businesses, advocates, and individuals, whether joining as walking delegates or riding decorated vehicles such as jeepneys, trucks, and sidecars. Participants are encouraged to come in vibrant, creative outfits that celebrate identity and self expression.
Organizers expect a colorful turnout of floats, costumes, placards and participants filling Manila’s streets in a show of unity and pride.
"The Manila Summer Pride parade transforms the capital into a moving canvas of color, where allies march alongside the community, and every step forward doubles as a call for inclusion," the city government said.
As the city leans into the heat of summer, organizers are also reminding attendees to come prepared, bringing essentials such as water, sun protection, and pride gear, ensuring that the celebration remains both safe and spirited from start to finish.
