Top Line Partners with Robinsons for Uncle John's rollout in fuel stations
To further enhance non-fuel revenue, listed fuel distributor and retailer Top Line Business Development Corp. is set to integrate Uncle John’s convenience store as its anchor tenant for all Tier 1 Light Fuels stations.
In a disclosure to the Philippine Stock Exchange on Wednesday, April 15, Top Line said it has partnered with Gokongwei-led Robinsons Retail Holdings Inc. (RRHI) to make its convenience store brand the anchor tenant for all Tier 1 Light Fuels stations.
Under the agreement, Robinsons’ Uncle John’s will be featured across Top Line’s full-service stations, which are designed with commercial spaces for food operators and retail tenants.
The rollout will target high-traffic corridors and provincial community hubs, particularly in Visayas region.
Eugene Erik Lapasaran Lim, Top Line’s president and chief executive officer (CEO), said the initiative would help diversify income through service-oriented stations.
“Our partnership with RRHI elevates the Light Fuels experience by combining mobility and everyday convenience in one location. Having Uncle John’s as our anchor tenant strengthens customer traffic across our stations while allowing us to diversify revenue through non-fuel sales and leasing income,” he said.
“Many of our stations are located in underserved areas in the provinces. Through this collaboration, we are making everyday essentials, both fuel and convenience retail, more accessible to consumers across the Visayas,” he added.
Top Line currently operates 18 service stations, with an additional 32 sites under construction or renovation. The new stations are slated for completion in phases by the end of 2026, with Uncle John’s outlets expected to open progressively as the sites become operational. - Gabriell Christel Galang and James A.
