The data, recorded from April 8 to the morning of April 15, showed a total of 5,112 violators, with 2,962 warned or released and 2,150 fined.
In an interview on Tuesday, April 14, Rizal PPO director Col. Eleazar Barber Jr. told PaMaMaRiSan-Rizal Press Corps that the police will strictly enforce the law without fear or favor against criminals and law violators amid the intensified campaign across the province.
Among the most common violations recorded were traffic code offenses, drinking and smoking in public places, and curfew violations.
According to Barber, enforcing the law “without fear or favor” is the most effective way to restore public trust and ensure that every corner of Rizal remains safe for residents.
To further strengthen safety across the province, Barber said that the Rizal PPO will use modern technology such as drones and 24-hour CCTV monitoring to ensure that every violation and crime is promptly addressed.
Barber also urged residents not to fear the presence of police and checkpoints, saying that only those engaged in illegal activities have reason to be concerned.
He added that these measures are being implemented to better ensure their safety and welfare.
Meanwhile, he also urged netizens to avoid posting unverified or unofficial reports online, saying that these contribute to the spread of fake news and may cause public panic.
