A rare, unreleased Boba Fett action figure has been sold for a record-breaking price of ₱77 million ($1.3 million).
It was sold by Goldin Auctions and is considered the most expensive "Star Wars" action figure sold at an auction. The figure is an unreleased Kenner toy from 1979. Up to 30 pieces were made and only three are believed to exist today.

Kenner's Boba Fett figure was originally intended to be part of a giveaway where kids can send in proof that they bought four other action figures to receive the toy in the mail. This concept was canceled after the jetpack's missilenlaunching figure was deemed as a choking hazard for children. With most of its prototype designs destroyed, the only remaining figures are assumed to be those hidden away by former employees.

Toys aren't the only "Star Wars" memorabilia that fetch a pretty price. Much of the movie props can sell for ludicrously high prices as well. Han Solo's iconic blaster broke the world record for the most expensive prop gun ever sold in 2022 after selling for over ₱63.4M ($1M). Other items include a scale model of the Red Leader's X-Wing used for filming, sold for ₱186M ($3.1M), a full-scale R2-D2 model for ₱162M ($2.7M), and Darth Vader's helmet for ₱66M ($1.1M).
