Megaworld kicks off ₱12-billion development of San Benito estate in Batangas
Top township developer Megaworld Corp. is kicking off the ₱12-billion development of San Benito Private Estate in the next few months with the construction of roads, key infrastructure, and vital township components.
The project, a 25-hectare (ha) integrated active wellness township located in Lipa City, Batangas province, is a landmark collaboration between Megaworld and CG Hospitality—the hospitality arm of multinational CG Corp Global, which owns globally acclaimed The Farm at San Benito.
“The Philippines remains a premier global destination for medical and wellness tourism, which is why we are excited to jumpstart the first phase of development of San Benito Private Estate,” said Kevin L. Tan, president and chief executive officer (CEO) of Alliance Global Group Inc., the parent company of Megaworld.
He added: “We are developing this wellness community to celebrate and honor the natural beauty of Batangas and, at the same time, provide our future residents and guests with direct, seamless access to the country’s most celebrated wellness sanctuary, The Farm.”
Megaworld said San Benito Private Estate will soon feature a diverse mix of curated residential offerings with varying themes and concepts, including private villas and exclusive residential lots, commercial developments, as well as leisure, recreational, and holistic wellness facilities.
Strategically located just around 20 minutes from Lipa proper, the township will also house dedicated sports and leisure hubs, an active adult center, and expansive green and wellness parks.
These will include nature walking trails with panoramic views of Malarayat Mountains, complemented by lush forests and natural waterways.
San Benito Private Estate will champion a design philosophy anchored in seamless integration with nature, brought to life by internationally acclaimed designers renowned for some of the world’s most iconic luxury leisure and wellness developments.
Around half of the township’s total land area will also be dedicated to lush open spaces, including natural parks, forest reserves, and preserved terrain.
