BYD Cars Philippines opened its biggest local exhibit yet at the Manila International Auto Show 2026, filling its World Trade Center pavilion with its current electrified lineup and two more models lined up for the Philippine market later this year.

The display included the Seagull, Atto 3, eMAX 7, and Tang EV from BYD’s battery electric vehicle range, together with the Seal 5 DM-i, Sealion 5 DM-i, Sealion 6 DM-i, Tang DM-i, eMAX 9 DM-i, and Shark 6 DMO.

Also shown ahead of their local launch were the Atto 2 EV and Sealion 7. The Atto 2 EV comes in as a compact electric crossover, while the Sealion 7 gives BYD a more premium entry in the electric SUV space. Reservations for the Sealion 7 opened on April 9, with a reservation fee of ₱50,000 at MIAS and at BYD dealerships nationwide.

ACMobility’s charging network also formed part of the display. The Philippine EV Spine now has more than 160 charging locations nationwide.

“Our participation in the Manila International Auto Show is the ultimate display of BYD’s relentless innovation. With the showcase of the full NEV line up, we are proving that there is a BYD for every Filipino. We are going beyond just selling cars, we are leading the movement that transforms how the country moves,” said Bob Palanca, Managing Director of BYD Cars Philippines.

“We have continuously been building the ecosystem that makes electric travel a reality for every Filipino. By expanding the Philippine EV Spine, our nationwide network of over 160 charging locations and counting, we are eliminating range anxiety and fortifying the country’s readiness for EV adoption alongside BYD’s extensive lineup,” said Jaime Alfonso Zobel de Ayala, CEO of ACMobility.

BYD also launched its “Drive Electric. Love Pinas.” campaign at MIAS after completing a cross-country drive from Northern Luzon to Southern Mindanao involving 20 electrified vehicles. The run was supported by ACMobility’s charging network and BYD’s 79 dealers nationwide.

That drive also resulted in two Guinness World Records for the most cities visited in a continuous journey by an EV and the most cities visited in a continuous journey by a PHEV. The BYD eMAX 7 and BYD Shark 6 DMO visited 102 cities across the Philippines.

Alden Richards was also introduced as BYD’s newest brand ambassador during the show.

BYD is also offering cash discounts of up to ₱220,000 on select models at MIAS, including the Sealion 5 DM-i, Sealion 6 DM-i, Shark 6 DMO, and Tang DM-i. BPI financing offers are also available on selected models. The show runs from April 9 to 12 at the World Trade Center Metro Manila.
