Motorcycle riders now have a new choice when it comes to keeping their two-wheeled vehicles running smoothly. Ipone, a French premium motorcycle lubricant brand dedicated exclusively to two-wheelers, has officially arrived in the Philippines during the 10th anniversary celebration of the Makina Moto Expo, held at the SMX Convention Center Pasay.
The French brand hopes to make a mark in the Philippine motorcycle market, which is dominated by scooters and underbone motorcycles used for daily mobility.
Ipone’s lubricants use advanced formulations, featuring 100% PAO and ester base oils. These are high-quality Group 4 and Group 5 base oils that represent some of the highest grades available in lubricants today. By combining ester with these premium base oils, Ipone delivers superior engine protection, maximum performance, and enhanced efficiency that meet the needs of daily riders, enthusiasts, and performance-driven users.
Drawing on Japanese influence, Ipone’s lubricants are inspired by the progression of judo belts, offering a clear and intuitive way to represent performance levels and riding needs.
Its peak offering is Shogun (black belt), designed to deliver maximum protection and performance for high-performance riding. Next on the hierarchy are Samourai & Katana (blue belt) which are fully synthetic oils offering premium responsiveness and durability. R4000 (green belt) & 10.4 (orange belt) are semi-synthetic oils that balance performance and value for everyday use. M4 (yellow belt) is a mineral oil designed for reliable and accessible lubrication.
Each product tier reflects a rider’s journey from everyday mobility to peak performance. This allows riders to choose oils that match their needs and riding style.
Ipone recognizes that motorcycles in the Philippines are more than a passion; they are an essential part of daily life. From navigating heavy urban traffic to long-distance provincial travel, riders require lubricants that can consistently perform under demanding conditions.
Ipone’s formulations are engineered to deliver reliable performance, enhanced protection, and efficiency across varying environments. Engines stay protected whether in stop-and-go city traffic or extended rides on open roads.
“The Philippines is a key market with a strong motorcycle culture, where bikes are part of everyday life,” Philippe Chul, Ipone Commercial Director for Southeast Asia. “With Ipone, we are bringing products designed for how Filipinos truly ride through traffic, long distances, and varying conditions. More than performance, Ipone is about giving riders confidence in their machines and allowing them to express their individuality on the road.”
This marks Ipone’s official introduction to the Philippine market, building on earlier engagements within the local riding community and setting the foundation for long-term growth and brand development.
