A fire broke out along C.P. Garcia Avenue in Barangay U.P. Campus in Quezon City on Monday night, April 13, prompting a response from firefighters shortly before midnight.
According to the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), the blaze reached second alarm before it was brought under control.
It was later extinguished at around 12:46 a.m. on Tuesday, April 14.
Around 10 houses were gutted in the fire.
A total of 16 families were affected by the incident.
The BFP said the cause of the fire is still under investigation, noting that it reportedly started on the second floor of a house without electricity when it broke out.
