Teenage boy stabbed to death in Negros Occidental

BACOLOD CITY – A 15-year-old boy was stabbed to death and his 16-year-old companion was injured in Purok 4, Barangay Guiljungan, Cauayan, Negros Occidental on Sunday, April 12.
Police Lt. Col. Norberto Barniso, Cauayan police chief, said the victims, together with their friends, were walking home from a basketball game when two individuals followed them.
One of the suspects stabbed the victim in the neck and his companion in the back.
The victim was declared dead in a hospital. His companion is stable and recuperating.
One of the suspects was arrested in his house. His companion remains at large but identified.
Murder and frustrated murder charges are being readied against the suspects. Follow-up investigation is ongoing.
